The modern day Benalmadena comprises of three districts: The original, bronze age dated, Benalmadena Pueblo lies about 3 km inland at about 200m above sea level. Benalmadena Costa, a purpose built tourist attraction area that supplies beaches, theme parks, shopping, nightlife, hotel accommodation and a well equipped marina.
The Beaches and marina are literally awash with every imaginable watersport and leisure activity. The Sea Life Centre, with its touch pools, underwater tunnel and Lost City of Atlantis is just one of Benalmadena's many mega tourist attractions.
